Capítulo 4822: A Higher Tribulation Level
The dark crimson clouds that encompassed the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm was ridiculously dense that there were so many layers of it, blotting out the Solar Reverence’s light completely and nearly plunging the realm into utter darkness.
Beneath this tremendous number of layers, a new layer surged forth, generating a strange mist that began shrouding the dark crimson clouds and slowly changing their color, though it appeared rapid. The dark annihilative crimson clouds turned darker and darker until they seemed to lose all sorts of madness about them, leaving the area beneath utterly chilled with an indifferent coldness.
A figure descended from the eyes of the storm.
Followed by this figure, twelve different beasts descended slowly.
Their descent brought forth no noise or rumbling, leaving a terrifying sense of foreboding in the tribulation taker.
“Why are you in the very first wave…?”
Davis asked, his lips twitching and his expression becoming strange as he saw the Celestial Transcendent appear unnervingly solemn. The kind and gentle demeanor he had seen on his face in the past was lacking, but he didn’t find it surprising since he did what he did, causing tremendous damage to the heaven and earth and all the lifeforms in his range of tribulation.
That was one of the reasons why he had chosen this place- the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm.
The Celestial Transcendent’s gaze swept forth to the horizon as he didn’t immediately reply. His face slowly turned before his gaze fell on the Heavenly Water where Nadia and Lucian were located.
Nadia remained silent while Lucian felt a great tremor, even while his body and mind were gently soothed by the heavenly water. His thoughts flowed smoothly without fear impeding him. He had never before felt this kind of peace, as his body was always burning, needing ice pills to calm down. In this small lake, he found paradise, seemingly unperturbed even by the terrifying annihilative dark crimson clouds until the Celestial Transcendent gazed at him from above, fully bringing forth the pressure of the tribulation.
“You’re not taking this seriously, are you?”
The Celestial Transcendent said, his crimson-black translucent body changing colors as the black became negative, turning white.
“What makes you think I’m not?” Davis returned the question with an unamused voice, “You think bringing my son here is me looking down on my tribulation? Heh! He is my son. He can cross his tribulation himself, but we simply lack the time and space. Besides, it is my responsibility as a father to nurture my child with the best resources I can obtain.”
“You have completely overturned the heaven and earth, inviting the Desolate Era.”
The Celestial Transcendent’s voice boomed with a vague tone of anger, causing Davis to narrow his eyes.
Davis’s gaze was on the strange mist that turned all black to white as though changing them into a negative format.
“Why did you decide to undergo your tribulation here after I gave you all that chance? Not only did I underestimate your anarchic nature, but it seems like I have sinned for not being able to prevent the Desolate Era from encompassing the three layers starting from here. You’re now completely endangering the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy and even the other galaxies, a threat that needs to be erased no matter the cost.”
“I knew it would come to this point.” Davis raised his hand and rubbed his temple, “The heavens don’t allow me to live, and I’m clearly a danger to the myriad realms as a result. In its attempt to erase me, it does not value its lifeforms. If it can adopt such an overbearing and merciless attitude, then a little pebble like me need not care about so many things. You do what you have to do. I won’t bother pleading my case anymore.”
With a wave of his hand, his sleeves swayed in the breeze, “From now on, I’ll attack first and ask questions later.”
“Good. This is a new kind of tribulation for me, so even I don’t know where my limit lies.”
The Celestial Transcendent raised his hand and clasped his wrist, twisting his fist as a strange form of prismatic chaos energy surged forth. The terrifying mix of the new kind of heavenly energy and the Celestial Transcendent’s chaos energy burst forth with a radiant light and condensed on top of his fist.
He bent his waist and took a battle pose.
“I hope you know what’s coming to you and can accept it. With the way the world would transform, all the peace I worked for will be shattered, and the number one public enemy of the world will none other than your family, you worked so hard to protect.”
The Celestial Transcendent moved, his figure moving like a thought that had already decided to become action, his speed turning into an explosive dash that couldn’t be caught by any average Empyrean, much less an Immortal Emperor. One moment, he stood beneath the eye of the storm, vaguely chastising and disappointed by Davis, and the other, he was already beside Davis, his fist nearing Davis’s face.
Davis raised his hand casually.
Lucian’s pupils dilated.
The clash he expected didn’t rob the sound from his world. Instead, he saw that the clash never occurred. There was no explosion or shockwave. His father completely stopped the punch in its tracks and neutralized it as if it were a fake strike.
Davis’s palm enclosed the Celestial Transcendent’s fist, causing the latter to turn wide-eyed.
“Yeah- they could harm my family, but only if I disappear. I’ll make sure to strike a deep sense of fear into their hearts.”
The Celestial Transcendent retreated, sensing the force of dense blood having completely stopped the force of his punch in its tracks, and the destruction energy he used to crush his fist with a clench of his palm left him with only a stubble that released prismatic chaotic energy.
He looked at Davis as though he was looking at a monster before realizing why the tribulation was completely unique.
Even the World Master hadn’t summoned this kind of tribulation, and he was a part of the first wave.
His eyes gleamed, knowing that he had probably fallen off the mountain of trust from the heavens for his previous actions that allowed the Divine Emperor of Death to grow this strong.
*RUMBLE!~*
The strange mist thickened, surging downward like a living veil. Crimson negative-white lightning bled through the clouds, crawling across the firmament in broken, inverted veins. Simultaneously, vast arcs of purple-silver energy folded in from every direction, wrapping around the Celestial Transcendent like a cocoon forged from collapsing dimensions.
The Celestial Transcendent straightened his back, his brows frowning, “Even the Annihilative Spacetime Tribulation is no longer the same. The air is thick with the aura of desolation and a cold indifference. I suppose I will name these desolate heavenly lightning and heavenly desolate space energies.”
“What are you musing loudly for?” Davis coldly chuckled as he took a battle pose, appearing ready to rush in, “Trying to delay this tribulation as much as possible so that your fleshly avatar can come and take me down? Come, I’ll end you in one move like before.”
The Celestial Transcendent spread his hands, “Aren’t you careful as well, refusing to near me under these strange circumstances?”
His shattered fist reformed, becoming a warped fusion of crimson negative-white and purple-silver hues. His entire heavenly avatar followed, colors inverting and overlapping until he became something neither fully celestial nor fully desolate.
The Celestial Transcendent’s prowess swelled, going from fifteen levels higher to eighteen levels higher. His power surged, and even the clouds’ silent rumbling grew louder, resonating with him.
Davis’s lips curled in disdain, “I was waiting for the Annihilative Heavenly Spacetime Tribulation to descend, and as expected, you’re still no match for me. This time, I’ll refine your heavenly avatar that contains an immense amount of new energy required for my Essence Gathering Cultivation.”
Just as Davis said as he taunted the Celestial Transcendent, the twelve Paragon Magical Beasts, also having gone through the fusion of the strange purple-silver spatial energy, finally made their moves.
