Chapter 4695: Higher Branches

“You’re right,” Davis expanded his thinking and felt that it made sense.

Even if this inheritance master was a trapped Exalt, they could’ve had their followers who were also trapped with them to help build this inheritance so it could go to the rightful and skillful alchemist in the future.

Then this left the possibility that this was an Exalt Grade Inheritance quite high.

Turning to look around, he guessed the other supreme geniuses also recognized this somewhat and were waiting for the winner to come out.

Davis’s lips curled as he swept his gaze around.

“I want to see who dares to rob the inheritance from my Dalila.”

His words elicited quite a vivid response from the others, ranging from frustration to hopelessness. However, some of them didn’t care since it wasn’t set in stone that his so-called Dalila would win.

“…”

Only after uttering did Davis realize he said something straight out of a Young Master’s 101 Dialogue Book. Regardless, he chuckled, surveying his gaze over everyone here and imprinting them into his memory.

Someone even came forward to response. However, they didn’t look at him.

“Saintess Myria, we meet again.”

A pretty woman clad in white cupped her hands towards Myria. Her black eyes were without sin, and the flower embroidery of her robe made her look fresh and gentle. Pristine white hair adorned her face, styled in a half-updo and a bun. She looked like a classical fairy.

Myria gazed at her. She had also recognized her when she had descended, but didn’t bother to contact her since they weren’t close.

“It seems like you have investigated my true background. Why don’t you call me Fiend Myria instead?”

“Hehe~” The pretty lady raised her hand and adjusted her hair-bun, “I don’t dare call you Fiend Myria for fear of repercussions, and I don’t think you’re a Fiend either, like you said before.”

She smiled and then turned to look at Davis, who possessed an inquisitive look. Her eyes sparkled, “Nice to meet you, Divine Emperor of Death. You probably don’t remember me, but we might’ve exchanged glances before. I’m Julaine from one of the five great sects in the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm, the White Peak Sect.”

“The White Peak Sect?” Davis nodded before his brows raised, “That sounds so similar to the Great White Peak Sect of the Greater Realm.”

“Yes, I’ve recently learned that it’s the main branch of our sect.”

“Oh?” Davis looked pleasantly surprised, even though it was expected.

He felt that these sects would at least have an Upper Realm Branch, but it seemed like they also had Greater Realm branches, and it appeared to be the main one. From this information, he was also inclined to think that the other four great sects of the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm also had Greater Realm branches.

In fact, he believed that they were within the top ten powers.

Davis looked over her and saw three more companions.

They walked together, exuding refined yet formidable auras of experts.

Julaine smiled, “There are my fellow cultivators, my friends from the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm’s Five Great Sects. We’ve been traveling together ever since we entered this realm.”

The woman beside her, clad in silver robes that shimmered faintly under the radiance of the surrounding energy, gracefully cupped her hands. Her pale-blue eyes held a serene glow, her long silver hair cascading like moonlight.

“Aerial Moonlight Sect’s disciple, Yue Serin.”

Her voice was soft, echoing like a bell in mist, but Davis could feel the stabilizing pulse of formation energy around her body. She appeared to be a woman capable of anchoring or sealing an entire battlefield.

Beside her, there was a lean man clad in black. His gaze was detached, and his presence faint to the point of almost vanishing, yet the moment his eyes locked onto Davis, it felt like countless invisible blades pressed forward.

“Earth-Sundering Sword Sect’s Ren Arvon.”

Lastly, the man in dark-red robes with cold eyes and an unreadable expression gave a shallow nod.

“Variel,” he introduced himself curtly, “of the Greater Blood Sect.”

“Not bad…” Davis surveyed each of them and thought their prowess wasn’t bad.

They could match Ralaza Heavenshade in prowess. However, Myria had previously mentioned not to underestimate those who were from the five great sects of the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm, since they were masters in other occupations, so he would put them around Rath Heavenshade’s might.

“So, why bother introducing yourselves to me?” Davis asked.

“Didn’t you have another friend? Where is he?” Myria cautiously asked before she realized, “So he’s an alchemist.”

“Yes,” Julaine replied, “I’m glad that we left an impression on you at that time that you could remember all five of us. He is Loragin Flint, an alchemical genius but also a battle maniac who belongs to the Braveheart Battle Sect. He should be competing against those who entered the inheritance, and also your group’s Dalila. If our side wins, please help us leave. We’ll pay the appropriate price.”

She answered the two of their questions, causing Davis to nod in understanding.

“We’re not mercenaries for hire. If Loragin Flint wins, I’m going to steal the inheritance from him.”

“…” The expressions of Julaine and the others changed.

Davis’s lips curled in satisfaction, “Just kidding. In that case, I would like to exchange resources for sharing the inheritance with me. Naturally, I’ll also give you protection.”

“…” Julaine wryly smiled, “Your reputation precedes you. No one dares to fight with you. Is it true that you executed Karyon Stormsong and stole the Cursed Artifact from the Heaven’s Warriors?”

“Oh? News does travel fast.” Davis nodded, but not in surprise, since Bylai already told him the reason she didn’t attend the auction in the Luminous Rage Shard Region despite having the ability to travel with Rioxys Plume’s help was because she was sure Shirley would take care of it for them. Bylai also couldn’t leave since Dalila and Aila would be left alone here.

That would be dangerous.

“Indeed. I did both.” Davis didn’t hide these two matters.

This echoed across the area, and countless expressions changed again. Some directly left the field, no longer wanting to try their chances here to obtain the inheritance.

It was well known that alchemists were freaking weak. Even if they were Pill Empyreans of the highest order, what could they do? Make pills to fight them? Injure themselves in the process? Exhaust their blood essence?

As long as the winner didn’t have a supreme background, they could always have a royal rumble for the inheritance.

“Regardless,” Davis echoed with a sneer, “My Dalila will win. If she doesn’t, then I’ll gift you a Mid-Level Primarch Grade resource I personally harvested.”

“…!?” Julaine turned stunned.

She felt not only was Davis powerful, but he was also extravagant. Or did he want others to see how much he valued his Dalila’s ability when it comes to alchemy?”

Hearing this, countless supreme geniuses were envious of Julaine.

Fellow cultivator- no, fellow fiend, why not give that Mid-Level Primarch Grade resource to us if you’re going to give it away?

They couldn’t help but feel regret and envy.

First of all, they didn’t think this Dalila could win because there were three Young Venerable Pill Empyreans from the Astral Pill Upper Realm also participating, and secondly, there were also other supreme geniuses from the other galaxies whose abilities were unknown, but they looked quite smart and capable that even one of the Young Venerable Pill Empyreans acknowledged them.
