Capítulo 717: To Become Stronger You must FIGHT!
Asmodeus sat quietly amongst the ruins, broken buildings, and fallen towers. This dungeon appeared to be an old historic site, which predated the current empire.
“Haa…”
With a long sigh, he glanced at the shimmering purple light in the broken half-arched doorway of what appeared to be the lord’s manor.
‘This is rather annoying.’
Ever since Asmodeus came to this world, he never felt this strange stagnation. To become stronger, it always felt like the path resembled a staircase or an escalator. However, from the moment he reached the Demigod stage, and further.
It became harder and harder to make progress.
His current strength might even be lower than several of his wives, who, thanks to their natural bond and acceptance of the world as people born here. Natives, if you would. Their connection and idea of the divine and powers surpassing mortality weren’t foreign.
‘No, Erika managed to reach this stage thanks to Velvet. Am I just a terrible student?’
[Husband, how can this be?]
A rare, sultry and charming voice sounded in his mind.
Lumina’s sweet tone sent tingles down his spine as if he could feel her soft white fur wrapping around him from behind.
‘Aren’t you busy?’
He knew that things in Lumeria became complicated after a diplomat and member of the holy church from the mainland insulted him and triggered Serena to go berserk.
[How could I be too busy to speak with you, baby~ I miss you so much! The kids are always asking about dad.]
Asmodeus felt her charm grow with each day, with each subtle movement, her lips gently pressed together with a moist squish. Lumina wore a special lip gloss made from her own honey, something that drove him mad when they kissed.
The once naïve virgin spider goddess became a mother spider with endless appeal and pheromones that could seduce even the god of demons.
‘You minx.’
[Kukuku~ you love everything I do, why pretend?]
She wasn’t wrong.
He couldn’t help but find himself seeking her and Serena out more each night, enough to drive them mad.
The purple portal crackled once again, it’d been six hours since Vivi and the other’s entered without him. Once someone reached the limits of Rank Two or Three. Dungeons, at least normal ones, started to block their entry.
“Foolish.”
Swoosh~
A small, ghostly figure enveloped his shoulders, her smooth, creamy arms wrapping his chest tightly. This ability was something everyone Rank Three and above could do, projecting a portion of their divinity to someone they held close links with.
“Did you miss me, baby?”
Her low, sexy voice caused the very air to tremble beside his pointed ears. His throat tightened with an unquenchable thirst when he turned to face her—those juicy red lips. Plump and irresistible, gently pressed against his cheek.
Mwah~
Asmodeus didn’t hold back or act pretentious.
He grabbed her face and kissed her.
Their lips pressed together, both eager to taste and devour each other.
A faint chill accompanied her phantom form as his tongue pried open her pearly white teeth.
Honestly, the dangers of mating with a spider weren’t unfounded. Suppose Asmodeus couldn’t satisfy her every need completely. She might just have bitten off his head when they first mated. Now, their tongues entwined with a soft squish.
“Hmmm~ your tongue is too long, bastard…”
Lumina pulled away, saliva dripping from her lips as she lazily leaned against the tree beside her, all her extra arms hanging low.
“Well, it’s your fault for being too charming, wife.”
She glanced at him with a sharp glare before her shoulders lowered, relaxing, and she smiled at him gently. “Good, you look more relaxed now.”
When it came to her shame, jealousy or mood, none of it mattered when Asmodeus wasn’t doing okay; if he suffered, then so did his wives and vice versa.
“Is it frustrating to feel lost?” Her tone was seductive, yet playful as she tapped his cheek with the arm extending from her back, white silk fluff wrapping her wrists. “Do you understand how we all felt now watching you?”
[Are you flirting without me? I’m a little jealous!]
Serena’s voice echoed in the air around them, as the air rippled. Her silvery white hair and pale skin pushed through the ripples like climbing into the bath. Behind her, ten fluffy white tails shimmered with a divine aura as she curled around Asmodeus on the opposite side from Lumina.
“You’re here too?” He smiled while leaning back against her soft fur, wrapped in all ten tails, and he glanced up at Serena’s face.
The frustration that made his blood boil rapidly faded from his mind.
“Of course, if my sister makes such a sneaky move, why wouldn’t this empress come?”
“Sister~ don’t be so cruel. I haven’t seen him because of our work!”
“Heh, then be better at your job! Spider!”
He listened to his two senior wives bickering, both true gods, and now, if it came to just Divine Aura, they likely ranked above him. It was just the way things were; his focus was on combat power rather than flashy divine arts.
When one breaks through to Rank One from the mortal, their bodies, talent and future path are combined into a singular growing force called potential. This potential is a temporary state, which lasts until the peak of Rank Two.
At the peak of Rank Two, most people will encounter a huge bottleneck.
Vinea, Levia and Erika spent so much time meditating because they needed to focus on what path they wished to follow.
Although the potential could be limitless.
Energy was limited.
So when one’s body reaches the peak and breaks through, their minds compare what they need, what they want and match it to their potential. After breaking that limit, they spread their energy between physical enhancement and divine arts.
Velvet’s evolution sought power and the ability to keep up with Asmodeus.
Her physique would receive 90% of her energy, and 10% would go to boosting her divine arts and aura.
Vinea’s breakthrough was the complete opposite, with her prioritising the thing she once lacked, magic and divine arts.
With 80% of her energy going forward, boosting her divine art, Balmung. The remaining 20% would nourish her physique.
“Do you understand it better now?”
Serena stroked Asmodeus’s cheek; she and Lumina had made their choices aeons before, and thus the bottleneck no longer existed for them. Serena focused on Divine Arts, and Lumina on Combat.
The pair supported each other, and this reason made them perfect pillars of the empire as his empress and shadow empress.
Lumina protected Serena like a knight that lurked in the darkness. Serena would use her divine arts to buff and empower Lumina against enemies.
‘Though my wife is still strong…’
Serena was a true goddess born from the world after all. Lumina was an inherited goddess who came from another world, like Asmodeus.
All those who can become heroes originated from other worlds.
“Hmm, it’s truly strange though, sister.” Lumina tapped Asmodeus’s forehead, her fingertips glowing with a brilliant light. “From my eyes, he’s already Rank Three… at the very least, his body has broken through.”
Asmodeus tilted his head because he didn’t feel it. His strength grew when facing that obscene illusion, but only in the moment of desperation.
“I don’t feel stronger.”
“Mhm.” Serena hugged his back and sniffed his neck, her pointed nose squinting as she let out a slight cough. “Ahem! Darling, your new perfume smells too good.”
‘I’m not wearing anything though, Serena…’
She closed her eyes, placing both palms together as minor silver sigils shone across the surface of her pale skin.
The sky rumbled with heavy winds and distant thunder.
A string of strange, inhuman words left her lips as her eyes became silver beads of light.
WOOSH!
The surroundings became trapped in a whirlwind, their bodies sat in the storm’s eye as rain, wind, snow and sleet tore through the land.
‘Wow, she’s so pretty.’
Asmodeus watched his wife as eight wings extended from her back and she floated into the air, golden rings wrapped around her body, while a long, silvery light grew from her fingertip the moment she pointed at him.
The silk wrapped his body.
It was warm, comfortable to the touch and made him feel at ease.
As quickly as the storm appeared, it died down, with the surroundings even worse than before; broken buildings became crumbled stone and rubbish.
That’s when Serena opened her eyes and revealed a breathtaking smile.
She panted slightly, sweat dripping from her brows.
“Well… you’re right, Lumina. He’s entered Rank Three, but instead of the normal path, he just shoved his foot in the door.”
“Hahahahaha, that’s our darling!” Lumina burst into laughter, hugging her stomach with eight arms, then she glanced at her husband with a bitter smirk. “Fool!”
“!!!”
Although he knew they weren’t mocking him, two big beauties laughing at him made him blush.
After the two stopped laughing, he finally asked.
“So, what can I do?”
“Fight,” Serena said with her thumbs in the air.
“Kill!” Lumina shouted while jumping into his arms, hugging them both tight.
‘…’
“You haven’t quite chosen your path.”
“We believe most of your potential is still trapped on the inside waiting to explode and send you into Rank Three fully!”
The two wives moved in almost perfect synchronisation, their faces side by side, with charming smiles, hands pressed together as if performing a strange dance.
“Hey! That means you need to fight powerful enemies!”
“So darling~ Let’s fight!”
Both women made a fighting pose… one big, one small, driving his heart into turmoil.
Serena’s kimono slipped over her shoulders, revealing two delicate, peach mounds hanging low, like teardrops. Lumina’s plump chest bounced as she rolled her hips, two sets of arms folded underneath to ‘enlarge’ them.
‘The only fighting I want is on the bed right now…’
