Capítulo 1942: Leaving the Work to Others
Giving the elder a bit of guidance after his breakthrough to the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao decided to leave him on his own to consolidate his cultivation after his breakthrough. The quiet and desolate environment of the ascension secret realm being the perfect environment for this kind of solitary cultivation. Especially since the spiritual qi concentration of the ascension secret realm was the same as that of the Shattered Star Peaks. Making cultivation inside the secret realm no different from back on the Shattered Star Peaks.
However, as he stepped outside the ascension secret realm, he found that the place was already crowded with disciples and sect elders alike.
Confused at first at this development, it didn’t take him long to realize the reason why all these people had gathered around, as some of aura from the tribulation earlier had seemingly leaked outside the ascension secret realm and alerted a few nearby sect elders who had then rushed over. Soon enough, causing more people to gather around the entrance to the secret realm to create the scene he now saw.
But even though they were interested in the situation on the other side of the large wooden door, they stopped themselves from entering recklessly. Worried that they might interrupt the person on the other side of the door in the process of battling a tribulation from the Soul Ascension Realm.
Knowing this, Xuan Hao felt a sense of admiration for these sect elders who had been able to hold themselves back from entering the secret realm to investigate.
Even then, he had no intention of facing this crowd made up of both sect elders and disciples and explaining the situation of the ascension secret realm, as he would undoubtedly find himself swarmed with questions that would take him at least a few hours to get through.
“You can enter and ask the one inside about the situation, though there is a restriction in place. Only those at the Late Stage of the Domain Lord Realm and above can enter without being stopped by the restriction.”
Because of this, he decided to leave the explanation to the one currently inside the ascension secret realm. Knowing he at least had a general understanding of the place after he had given him a rough explanation of what kind of place the ascension secret realm was and what the intended purpose of the ascension secret realm was.
Not waiting for any of the sect elders or disciples to answer as he directly left the place after throwing the situation over to the new Second Tribulation Ascension Realm Elder. Viewing it as him repaying him for being the first to use the ascension secret realm, something he had a feeling the elder in question would be more than happy to do now that he had managed to break through to the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm without dying.
…
Having left behind the group of sect elders and disciples in front of the entrance to the ascension secret realm, Xuan Hao ultimately decided to inform Feng Chen about the situation. Knowing that Elder Song was busy with something else and still hadn’t returned to sect. Giving this normally inactive sect master a chance to step in and help managing the chaos that would undoubtedly break out when information of the ascension secret realm began to spread through the sect.
Even if he himself might also be moving in a similar way to Feng Chen, he did at least provide the sect with far more value compared to Feng Chen. Take the ascension realm tower as an example of his contribution to the sect.
As for Elder Song ending up as the one taking charge of the situation and ensuring that the ascension realm tower was properly integrated into the Star Shattering Sect… That was only natural, as everyone worked together to strengthen the sect, he found things to help increase the strength of the sect, while Elder Song took care of more menial tasks that had to be dealt with.
All things considered, he might have been able to do it on his own, but he understood that he was nowhere near as capable as Elder Song when it came to this kind of thing and instead decided to aid the sect in his own way.
Feng Chen on the other hand… Didn’t exactly contribute to the sect in the same way as he did, so it was good for him to get out occasionally and act like a proper sect master for once.
Was part of this also just because he didn’t want to deal with the current situation on his own and couldn’t find Elder Song? Yes… But he at least felt more justified about his decision to drag Feng Chen into the situation by framing things in this kind of manner. Allowing him to return to his cultivation room for the first time in over a month and start the process of slowly digesting the combat experience he had gained from his battle with the withering tree on the twenty-fifth floor along with the few other somewhat unique monsters and creatures he had encountered along the way.
Maybe more importantly than that, he felt his foundation strengthening significantly after his battle with the withering tree allowed him to refine his combat techniques and in turn also fix some of the flaws that emerged inside his dantian during the battle.
Although he couldn’t tell just how much stronger his foundation would become after he digested everything from the battle, he knew that it would become more than strong enough to facilitate further expansion of his spiritual sea. Allowing him to inch closer to the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm and potentially even break through to the realm depending on the state of his spiritual sea when he felt himself reaching his limit.
After all, though he said he had reached his limit in expanding his spiritual sea, he hadn’t reached his limit and could in fact continue expanding his spiritual sea.
The problem with doing something like that was that his spiritual sea would grow increasingly chaotic and potentially reach a point where he lost control of his spiritual sea.
Strong as he might be, his spiritual sea going out of control wasn’t something he would be able to deal with and the only fate that awaited him in the face of a completely out of control spiritual sea was death.
For this reason, he wanted his spiritual sea to remain calm and at most become a bit turbulent. Anything beyond that was unacceptable to him and could potentially cause problems if he was forced to draw on all the power from his spiritual sea like he had been during his battle with the withered tree that dragged on for over half a month.
Had his spiritual sea been in a turbulent state or worse, chaotic state during that battle, he might not even have lasted a single week against the withered tree, as though his power might be greater with a larger spiritual sea, the chaotic nature would make it difficult to control and ultimately greatly reduce his accuracy in battle and overall endurance.
Whoosh~
As he thought this to himself, Xuan Hao found himself back inside his cultivation room once again… And without the slightest bit of hesitation, he pulled out a rather familiar-looking bottle before swallowing the content. Soon enough feeling the familiar vast spiritual qi contained in the liquid surging forth before descending upon his spiritual sea where it began to seamlessly merge into it, causing his calm spiritual sea to start rapidly expanding again.
But even as he felt the rapid expansion of his spiritual sea, it was clear from a glance that the overall speed at which the border of the spiritual sea expanded, had decreased visibly.
Still, Xuan Hao wasn’t worried about this, as it was expected that it would become increasingly difficult for him to expand his spiritual sea. Requiring more spiritual qi with every single kilometer that his spiritual sea expanded.
But with what he had gained from the ancient alchemy sect ruins, he didn’t have to worry about running out resources for expanding his spiritual sea, as he could continue providing it with the vast quantity of spiritual qi that it required to continue expanding rapidly.
To ensure that his cultivation wasn’t affected, he also decided to funnel a large portion of the spiritual qi refined by the chaotic qi formation into his own cultivation room.
Normally, this wouldn’t have been possible without severely affecting the Shattered Star Peaks, but with the upgrade of the chaotic qi formation, it could refine far more chaotic qi compared to before. Reaching the point where even the qi he took for himself to help his cultivation wouldn’t affect the overall state of the Shattered Star Peaks.
On the other hand, the spiritual qi within the sect showed no sign of weakening but instead continued growing, just a bit slower compared to before.
