Ascension of the Dark Seraph - Chapter 433
Chapter 433: Fully a Dark Seraph
Lucivar grinned mischievously.
It was clear that he came here to taunt and mock Kebe, a payback for what he did.
Attacking the family out of nowhere is what he did.
So, naturally, Lucivar was inclined to show Kebe that he could do it too.
And unlike Kebe’s attempt that ended in failure, his would succeed without a doubt.
“Kill her? And what made you think that I care about a woman like her? Because she was my wife? Please,” Kebe chuckled bravely—spinning the golden spear in his hand expertly in a taunt. “Both of us are between mortals and deities. I’m not bothered by this mundane threat.”
Lucivar turned to Anastasya, face twisted darkly as he pinched her face with his hand.
“Hey,” He called, annoyance in his tone. “I thought you said—he loves you? What’s with his reaction? I spared your life because you said he loves you so much he’ll attack me on sight. But that does not seem to be the case. Why is he acting like that?”
Hearing this, Anastasya shook her head frantically, tears streaming down her face.
Her mouth was covered, but Lucivar could tell what she was saying.
It was obvious that she was trying to assure him.
Seeing this, Kebe gripped the spear in his hand tightly as he waited for Lucivar to lower his guard.
Just then, however, Lucivar’s lips curled once again as he patted Anastasya’s head.
“Don’t worry, I completely believe you,” Lucivar said, and with one motion, he hauled Anastasya from her spot and placed her on his lap. He stared at Kebe from over Anastasya’s shoulder, eyes glowing with malice, “I also think he’s bluffing. Let’s test his will, shall we?”
Lucivar’s left hand slowly climbed onto Anastasya’s thigh while his other hand went to her stomach.
His strokes were gentle, almost like he was trying to please Anastasya.
Kebe gritted his teeth hard in order to hold back his murderous intent, to hold back the urge to pounce right now, and tear Lucivar’s arms for daring to touch his wife. But doing that would only encourage the Devil more.
It was a battle of the mind—the first one to break loses.
But it was clear to anyone that Lucivar was winning this battle.
Seeing the pleading eyes Anastasya was wearing, begging Kebe to help her was too much to handle.
Holding back to kill Lucivar right now was against every instinct he was feeling.
“Mmmph!!”
Lucivar’s naughty hands slipped under her clothes, caressing her bare skin while still smiling deviously.
“Hmm, it really does seem you don’t care. For a man to stand there as his wife being touched by another man, it’s either he didn’t care or he’s a wimp.” Lucivar’s right hand climbed higher, reaching for the two blessed breasts underneath Anastasya’s clothes. “Oh, don’t tell me, is this a fantasy of yours?” y
“S-Stop playing around and come fight me,” Kebe said, but his voice betrayed him.
His voice was shaky, hinting at the emotions he was holding back.
Instead of answering, Lucivar grinned even harder as his left hand slipped into her pants.
His hand was heading to the sacred place only her husband could touch.
And as expected, the battle was won.
“Stop!” Kebe took a step forward and shouted, unable to hold back his emotions again.
“Ah, there it is…” Lucivar took out his hand—and shoved Anastasya to the side like she was garbage. He then leaned back and clasped his hands on his stomach, “Is it that hard to admit that you cared about her? Don’t worry, I’m only playing with you. I’m not interested in weak women.”
‘A chance!’ Kebe’s eyes glistened as he prepared to strike.
But at that exact moment, Lucivar raised his hand, “Go ahead and attack me, right now. I dare you.”
Hearing this, Kebe immediately caged his intention.
Considering that Lucivar had already been waiting for him here, it was safe to assume that he also put a bunch of traps in the area. Kebe looked around the room warily, searching for any trace of energy that might indicate an anomaly.
But he found nothing.
“So, what is this supposed to be?” Kebe asked, eyes narrowing. “Are you here to mock me?”
“I told you already—this is payback. And unlike your failed attempts, I’ll show you how it’s really done,” Lucivar drawled, draping his arms across the sofa with deliberate ease. He tilted his head back—gaze sweeping lazily over the mansion. “Not bad… good neighborhood, plenty of space, gilded in gold. You could fit at least four more kids in here and finally make this place feel complete.”
Upon hearing this, Kebe’s eyes widened in absolute horror.
He was swept by the moment that he forgot about something, “Where are my kids?!”
“For a parent, you do act like you’re not. How come it took you this long to remember them when your own home was broken through?” Lucivar laughed humorously, pure with condescension. Then, his eyes fixed on Kebe again. “One bad thing about having a big house is that there are parts that your eyes have never glanced towards.”
“Hmm?” Kebe was stunned, but his eyes fixed on Anastasya, who was wailing in tears.
Tears streamed down her face as she lifted her gaze past Kebe, sobbing in helpless despair.
Kebe’s heart pounded violently in his chest—then a faint ticking reached his ears from behind. Stiffly, he turned his head, only to find two dark pools of blood spreading beneath the windows flanking the main door.
Seeing this, his entire body froze, and his throat suddenly became dry.
Slowly, his gaze lifted and then froze. His breath caught in his throat, his eyes widening in unspeakable terror. There, nailed against the wall, were his children. His son and daughter. Both were impaled by a wooden stake through their chests, pinning their lifeless bodies like grotesque trophies on display.
Their heads dropped forward, limp and heavy, leaving no doubt that even a shred of life remained.
In that instant, the world itself seemed to collapse around him.
And in the next second, his spear cuts through the air with a wave as he glared at Lucivar.
“BASTARD!!”
Boom!
Kebe pounced at Lucivar, thrusting his divine energy-infused spear forward.
Though the strike came suddenly—Lucivar’s hands shot up and clamped around the spear. The impact hurled them both backward until they slammed into the wall, yet Lucivar never loosened his grip. He held the weapon firm, halting Kebe’s thrust in its tracks—his sheer strength eclipsing Kebe’s without question.
“I’m going to skin you alive and feed your remains to dogs!” Kebe roared, pushing harder.
Under the relentless pressure, the crack on the wall behind Lucivar spreads wider and wider.
But this doesn’t seem to concern Lucivar at all.
“Hey, hey… Is that how an avatar of the respected Horus talks?” He grinned mockingly.
Rather than dignify Lucivar’s taunts with a reply, Kebe lunged forward, his left hand clamping around Lucivar’s head in a crushing grip. His eyes gleamed—with maniacal delight as divine energy erupted within him like a storm. “You chose the wrong avatar to provoke,” he hissed. “Defeating Sunna means nothing. Do not forget—Horus stands above your mangy dog of a god!”
“And I… I so happen to possess the ability that would devastate you.” He grinned evilly.
Swish!
In an instant, golden energy coursed through Kebe’s hand and shot into Lucivar’s forehead.
At that moment, Lucivar could feel the invasive energy coursing through his veins and spreading across his entire body. His eyes widened in surprise as the golden energy gave him no time to react. Before he had the time to blink, the golden energy already claimed his body.
“This ability is called the Curse of the Gods! It weighs our bloodline against each other, and crushes the one backed by the weaker God!” Kebe roared with laughter, savoring the horror etched across Lucivar’s face. “I’ve been an avatar far longer than you, damn fool! You made the gravest mistake of your pathetic life by attacking m—?!”
Splash!
“Eh…?”
Kebe sucked in a cold breath when, out of nowhere, his hand exploded into meat paste.
And in the next second, blood began to seep out of his eyes, mouth, and ears.
It wasn’t Lucivar’s divine energy that twisted into a curse—instead, it was Kebe’s own.
“RAAGGHK!!”
Like a withered flower, Kebe collapsed to his knees, a guttural wail tearing from his throat as veins writhed and bulged across his body. The divine energy of the Curse of Gods ravaged him from within, forcing blood to stream from every orifice in a grotesque cascade.
He clutched his severed arm and screamed, but inside, he was at a loss.
Then, a chuckle seeped into his ears.
Kebe looked at Lucivar with reddened eyes and gritted his teeth, “What did you do?!”
“I’m not like you,” Lucivar said as he grabbed his face like a lunatic, staring down at Kebe—with his brutal eyes. “If I came here to destroy someone, I’ll only strike when I know I’m going to win. Did you really think killing me was that easy? I’m sorry to say this, but…”
Lucivar’s Divine Armaments began to form, all three of them without exception.
A black sword, a mask, and an abyssal eye on his chest.
“I have three Gods inside me, HAHAHA!” Lucivar laughed out loud.
He found it extremely funny and ironic that Kebe decided to use that ability on him, out of all people.
“What…? It can’t be…” Kebe gasped as blood trickled down his face.
Lucivar crouched beside him—seizing his hair and forcing his head up. His voice was low, venomous. “From the very moment you chose to cross me, you were already dead. The instant you laid eyes on me in the flesh… your fate was sealed. You never had a chance of winning—not from the start.”
Gulp!
Realizing this, Kebe raised his hand to beg, “W-Wait a minute… We can talk about this.”
“Talk? Spare me the begging,” Lucivar sneered, leaning in until his face hovered inches from Kebe’s. “That ability of yours… it suits me perfectly. Curse of Gods. The weak should always kneel before the strong, and I’ll be taking it for myself. So don’t resist, and don’t beg. At least show some shred of dignity—After all… your wife is watching.”
“RAAGGHKK!!”
Lucivar absorbed Kebe and killed him instantly.
Another avatar fell, and as the surge of power coursed—into his veins, he could feel his Inner Chamber was burning hot. He didn’t linger on the sensation and stood up, turning to see that Sabrina and Nerissa were standing near the door.
He headed for the door and exited the mansion as if killing an avatar was nothing for him.
“Are you done, master?” Sabrina asked.
“Yes. What about Morriva and Zibbo?” He asked back while patting down his clothes.
“The cult and the gang had taken over three slave cities and were now waiting for you to slaughter the people.”
“Good, I’ll be there.”
“What about the wife?”
“Kill her, and clean up the mess.”
“As you wish.”
Lucivar headed for the main gate to the mansion with steady steps.
Beside him, Nerissa followed, “Something different about you, what is it?”
“The last two Gods inside me awakened.”
“Who are they?”
“Lucifer and Asura.”
“So, you’ve finally awakened fully as a Dark Seraph?”
Hearing this, Lucivar smirked—as he could feel his power surging inside, pushing him to even greater heights. It was intoxicating, and at this moment, there’s probably little to no person in the whole entire Light World that could face him directly.
“Yes…” Lucivar nodded.
Then, Nerissa asked the pivotal question, “What now?”
“Now?” Lucivar stopped before the gate and looked at Nerissa. “Now is the start of phase 2. It’s time for the world to recognize its true master… Come on, let’s go. We still have a world to conquer…”
The End.
