Chapter 748: Where Is He? (II)

Bai Meiyue arrived at the seventh floor; she peered through the windows of the seventh floor and looked at the street down below. Her eyes flashed with a mocking look in her eyes when she saw Bai Feng dragging Bai Xue away from her. Even though the woman was panicked and running all over the street, she could see that the zombies were closing in. She saw the zombies coming close and instead of calmly walking with Bai Feng, she started to scream even harder.

This was when she even knew that the zombies were attracted to loud sounds. This woman was either too stupid or she was trying to do Bai Feng in. Bai Meiyue watched the sight in front of her and curled her lips in a sneer, well, this was what he got for acting out of line. Who asked him to save the life of someone who didn’t even care about her or his life? It was simply idiotic to save someone’s life who didn’t even care about anything or anyone?

However, seeing the number of zombies increasing, Bai Meiyue suddenly turned worried. In just a few seconds, Bai Meiyue could see that the zombies were walking through every corner of the street. Soon, the entire street was filled with countless zombies. With more and more zombies striding toward the centre of the street, it didn’t take long for them to fill the entire space. Soon the street was filled with so many of the walking undead that they didn’t even have enough space to move anymore.

They bumped into one another and then started to topple all over the street.

With the number of the undead getting more and more by each second, it didn’t take long for them to start trampling over their own kind. But that was not enough to stop them; even when countless zombies were trampled down, the zombies continued marching forward. It didn’t take long for the tide to turn even fiercer and bigger. Zombies started to climb and topple among one another and what was even more devastating was that there were several high-ranking zombies among the crowd.

They killed mutilated and even twisted the heads of several of the zombies before kicking the unmoving corpses to one side.

Seeing the sight in front of her, even Bai Meiyue was terrified. She had never seen something so terrifying as this before—the sight alone made her spine stiffen. Even she couldn’t help but take a step away from the window, worried that those things would detect her and even suppress her energy field.

Her eyes fell on Bai Feng, who was still dragging Bai Xue along with him. However, Bai Xue seemed to be terrified out of her wits. She was looking at the zombies that were getting closer and closer, and her eyes were wide with fear. She caught Bai Feng’s arm despite the severe injury that he had and clutched it fiercely.

She looked like she did it innocently but Bai Meiyue knew that woman all too well. She might be scared of the tide of zombies but her action of pressing Bai Feng’s wound was deliberate.

What a cruel woman – even though Bai Feng did pick Chu Xia and not her, he still saved her life. How could she hurt him like this?

However, Bai Meiyue did not feel any sympathy for Bai Feng. If anything, it was the fault of that man. He deserved it for acting so ignorant.

Who asked him to save the life of a person like Bai Xue? Idiot.

Bai Meiyue watched Bai Xue cruelly digging her nails into the arms of the man who was dragging and pulling her, even scraping some burnt flesh and chuckled softly. You wanted to love and protect Bai Xue? See how grateful she was.

Next to him, Meng Suisui was looking at the zombies that were coming over to the street where the scent of blood and flesh was the thickest. In the past, she had indeed seen zombies but she had never seen so many zombies at the same time. What was going on? How come so many zombies were heading over to this street centre?

“Yueyue, what is happening?” said Meng Suisui with a hint of worry in her voice. “What should we do now that the situation has gone awry? Look at the zombies… their number has increased to the point that we cannot deal with anymore.”

Bai Meiyue was also worried about this. The number of zombies was indeed too large; they might not be able to deal with this amount.

There was no way they could solve the tide of corpses all at once and this was not a matter of a day or two. The tide of the corpses that they had encountered in the hospital was a small one but compared to that, this tide of corpses was bigger and stronger.

Even Bai Meiyue had never faced a tide as fierce as this one. However, she was still not as shocked as the others because she had seen a corpse tide which could be considered smaller than this but big enough. Thus, she was not as disgusted as the others and was rather calm.

But more than that, Shen Zhen and Meng Suisui were more worried about something else.

When they left the mansion this morning, they didn’t expect to stay outside for long. They planned to go back to the mansion right away once Lei Qian was done dealing with Yu Miaomiao. Thus, they didn’t bring many supplies with them. What would happen to them now that their supplies are limited?

With Bai Meiyue by their side, they could easily get enough supply of water but what about food? How were they supposed to cook?

The two of them were worried about food, while Bai Meiyue was worried about Lei Qian. where was he? Why did he not return when her elder brother returned?

Lei Qian was supposed to return just after he was done dealing with Yu Miaomiao, so why did he not? Did he get injured?
