Capítulo 741: What is she even planning?

“Ah Feng, you go, leave. There is no need to worry about us anymore. This woman is not a human being; I know that she is not going to let us go even if you take her out of this safe base and bring her to where Bai Meiyue is living. If you don’t leave now, then this woman will ruin you just like she ruined Xiang Mei.”

Xiang Mei? Bai Meiyue arched a brow. Of course, she remembered Xiang Mei. Wasn’t she one of Su Hu’s admirers? If she was not wrong, then Su Hu took Xiang Mei away with him because she was the key to his survival and official position? What kind of condition was Xiang Mei in at the moment that someone like Chu Xia pitied her? Or did she even pity her? Bai Meiyue knew what kind of woman Chu Xia truly was and knew that this woman could never pity anyone.

Bai Meiyue narrowed her eyes and looked at Chu Xia with a suspicious look in her eyes. She had a feeling that this woman was scheming something, as she knew that every time Chu Xia showed sympathy for someone, there was some kind of scheme behind it. If not, this woman would never bother to even look at the sufferings of someone else.

Tapping her fingers on the railing, she stared at the sight in front of her.

Chu Xia’s words seemed to have agitated Yu Miaomiao because the second she finished speaking, Yu Miaomiao sneered and snapped her fingers and the gun in her tendrils shifted into an electrocution gun that she pressed against Bai Xue’s neck. A second later, who knows what Bai Xue felt at that very moment, but she started to scream like a pig being butchered. Bai Xue howled in pain. She turned to look at Bai Feng and screamed at him at the top of her lungs, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? STOP PLAYING TRICKS ON ME. DIDN’T YOU HEAR? DIDN’T YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID TO YOU? OPEN THE PATH FOR HER. LET HER GO. WHY ARE YOU BLOCKING HER? I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN. IT’S SO PAINFUL. IT’S BECAUSE OF YOU. I AM SUFFERING BECAUSE OF YOU.”

When Bai Meiyue heard her words, she wanted to laugh out loud.

What did she mean by saying that she was in pain because of Bai Feng? Wasn’t it because of her own selfishness that she was suffering? She was the one who wanted to become someone out of no one? She wanted to be rich and take on an official position, didn’t she? And she was the one who escaped the safe base and went into the trap that Yu Miaomiao set for her?

She was the one who ran away and she was the one who forced Bai Feng to join Yu Miaomiao’s team. It was all her, so why was she blaming Bai Feng? Her words alone were laughable.

Behind the pillar, Bai Meiyue sneered coldly; seeing that the expression on Bai Feng’s face was colder than ice, she knew that the man was losing his temper but because of Chu Xia’s supposed-to-be-kind words, he was holding his anger back. She stared at Bai Feng and wondered how long he was going to be fooled by these people in the Bai family? She wondered if he was ever going to find the truth about this family or not?

Bai Feng didn’t even look at Bai Xue. Maybe it was due to the resentment that he had accumulated over the weeks after being used and betrayed again and again, because even when Bai Xue was screaming like she was about to die, the man never turned to look at her. Instead, he said to Yu Miaomiao in a loud voice, “Yu Miaomiao, we had an agreement, and I have already held my end of the promise. You told me that I only need to bring you to this street. Didn’t you? Then I have done what you asked me to do. Anyway, even if you were to kill them today, I am not going to hear anything. I am done acting like your puppet. If you want, then you can kill them today, but you should know that after this you will have nothing or no one to control me.”

Bai Feng was determined to make Yu Miaomiao let Bai Xue and his parents go today. He knew that if he allowed Yu Miaomiao to take his family out of this safe base, then he would be reduced to nothing but a subordinate of this woman, so even if he had to fight head-on with her here and now, he was going to do it.

Seeing that the man was acting stubborn, Yu Miaomiao’s expression turned somber. She liked Bai Feng’s face but it seemed like he was not the kind of man she could control. She increased the intensity of the electric shock, which made Bai Xue scream even louder. She yelled at Bai Feng and told him that he had lost all of his conscience but no matter how much Bai Xue screamed, Bai Feng didn’t even look at her.

Bai Qingshi was the same; he was yelling at Bai Feng and calling him unfilial. Only Chu Xia was the one who was telling Bai Feng to leave them alone and save his own life. For a few seconds, no one moved. It seemed like Yu Miaomiao was determined to continue this tug and pull. Bai Feng knew it as well, so he signalled the man who was driving the zombies away to pause and stop not far from where the convoy was standing.

Bai Feng then exhaled heavily before saying to Yu Miaomiao, “I am standing here, and so are you. There is no need to drag this matter out more than we need to, Chief Yu. Release my family, and I will help you get out of this place. Or else—both of us shall die here today.”
