Bai Meiyue turned to look behind her upon hearing the loud explosion. Her eyebrows lifted up slightly when she realised that among the zombies there was a high-level zombie.

Meng Suisui walked out of the car. She was dressed in a black t-shirt and denim shorts while holding a machete in her hands. This machete was made from the bones of the zombies themselves and was very suitable for killing zombies.

This time, when Bai Meiyue headed out, Meng Suisui begged her to let her come with her because, after months of evolution, Meng Suisui didn’t want to get out of touch with killing the zombies. She wanted to use the skills that she had awakened. Thus, she asked Bai Meiyue to let her exercise with her; this way, she would learn how to use the abilities that she had awakened. After evolving for such a long time, she had evolved some deadly skills that terrified everyone in the safe base. But whether she could use it to kill the zombies was yet to be seen.

Meng Suisui didn’t know what kind of skills she had developed, nor did she know about the essence of these skills of hers, nor did she know how to use them. She came with Bai Meiyue in an attempt to learn more about her own abilities.

To be honest, she felt quite ashamed of herself. After evolving for so long, she could only make the corpses of chickens running around in the backyard of their mansion. Just thinking about it made her flush red with embarrassment. While it was kind of exciting that Bai Meiyue had someone like Meng Suisui in her team, it could also be considered troublesome, as no one knew what kind of skills she had.

Anyway, while Meng Suisui might think that her ability was useless and embarrassing, Bai Meiyue knew that the heavens were really fair. If they had given a skill to Meng Suisui, it would sooner or later come in handy for them instead of being redundant.

Since Bai Meiyue had said such a thing, there was nothing else that Meng Suisui could do other than come outside and explore her skills on her own. Seeing that Meng Suisui was determined to deal with the zombies, Bai Meiyue said to her, “This is a special zombie. Make sure to stay on your guard all the time, or else it will become problematic for you.”

“I got it.” Meng Suisui nodded as she raised the machete in her hands and narrowed her eyes at the zombies in front of her.

Lei Qian saw the two women’s actions, and his brows twitched with slight annoyance. He wanted to stop Bai Meiyue from running around, but at the same time, he knew that there was no point in stopping her because the woman was not going to listen to him.

If only she listened to me, things could have become so much easier, he thought helplessly.

He turned to look at Bai Zhan, who was staring at his sister worriedly, and said to him in a comforting voice, “Brother Zhan, keep driving behind us; we will be clearing up the paths in front.”

“Fine.” Bai Zhan also knew that his sister was not someone who would listen to others’ advice once she set her mind to do something. He sighed and then got out of the back seat before coming to the front. While he turned the ignition on, Lei Qian turned on his feet and headed behind Bai Meiyue and Meng Suisui. He twisted his sword, and, like a snake charmer controlling his snake, he controlled his flames, killing the zombies with just one single hit.

He didn’t interrupt the two women and simply protected them from behind, making sure that they were not in any danger.

Bai Meiyue was the same. She didn’t intervene with what Meng Suisui was doing, but she kept protecting her. She walked slowly, very slowly, as she was pregnant, and it was inconvenient for her to move around. Thus, she walked as if she were taking a walk in the park. Bai Zhan was driving right by her side, just in case she wanted to get inside the car and sit down.

Bai Meiyue walked for a while and helped Meng Suisui, but after a while, she felt her energy running out, and she got back inside the car because she was feeling really tired. As she sat down on the passenger seat, she rolled the window down and watched Meng Suisui, who was walking toward the zombies. Though she was quite skilled with her machete, she had yet to use her powers.

Bai Meiyue sighed and then flicked her wrist, letting her four leopards chase after Meng Suisui and keeping guard by her side. If not for the fact that she was pregnant and needed to keep some of her spiritual energy to protect her child, she could have summoned even more leopards.

“Yueyue, how many times have I told you that you should rest more and not try to put any strain on your body?” As soon as she sat down panting on her seat, Shen Zhen narrowed her eyes and said to Bai Meiyue, “I mean, you should take more care of your body than this!”

Bai Meiyue sighed as she stretched her hand out and patted her big belly. She wanted to lie sideways but couldn’t and could only say, “I feel tired either sitting or lying all day. I needed to move my body a little, Doctor Shen.” She couldn’t believe that she was whining like a child but who asked Shen Zhen to be stricter than her mother?
