Chapter 1716: Ending Another War (Part 2)

Sandra had been stressing out with what to do after the war ended, wondering how her wonderful plan went wrong.

A few days ago, she was still imagining how it would be like to be the ’empress dowager’ of this town, controlling her child and controlling the territory.

She was already imagining her grand return to Alterra as a delegate of a Town, taking revenge for the humiliation she had felt there.

The entire time, she was blaming people. She blamed Gingo for choosing that time to be horny, she blamed Mafo for even going to her room at that time, and she even blamed Alterra for not letting her buy residency!

Then the door burst open, and this bitch started slapping her to death!

SLAP!

The next slap felt like it shook her brain. Sandra cursed at Sasha over and over, but the latter only kept slapping her. At the same time, she tried to get the attention of the guards, wherever they were!

“HELP!! HELP!!” she screamed. What were those guards doing? Were they fine with the Lord’s heir being in danger like this!?

SLAP!

SLAP!

SMACK!

“They won’t hear you,” Sasha said, an indifferent expression on her face, and then continued with her slapping session. She even pulled out Sandra’s hair several times, to the point that bald spots were made.

“They’re all down.”

SLAP!

SLAP!

SMACK!

Atlas let Sasha do what she wanted for a few moments. Anyway, the pregnant women here were stronger than in Terran, and this woman had already passed the second trimester, so the pregnancy wasn’t so sensitive that a bit of stress and hair pulling was enough to cause a miscarriage.

Of course, either way, they could not stay there for long. “It’s time to go,” he said, causing Sasha to pause and Sandra to look at him. “We’ll take her to another territory. You can torture her there.”

It was probably not going to be Alterra. One, Alterra was already too big to care about a little cockroach. And second, the victims of this woman’s selfishness were not there, but in Bright Village.

It was more likely she’d be imprisoned there, waiting for her to give birth before she could either be turned into a prisoner of war or be stoned to death.

Either way, Atlas would be sure to watch her suffer, too. Fortunately, Bright Village was right next to theirs.

Somehow, it was only now that it dawned on Sandra that she was about to get kidnapped! And to another territory! They were working for another territory!

“You! You traitor!!” Sandra screeched like a shrew, and she continued to ask for help, not knowing that a voice blocker was active.

“Not exactly a meaningful word coming from you,” Sasha said, looking at the other woman’s stomach. “I seriously considered ending you here. It would also be a mercy on that child, who wouldn’t live a good life with a woman like you as a mother.”

“But…perhaps, I can let it survive,” she said, leaning forward as she painfully grabbed Sandra’s hair back. “And then let it grow up being disgusted listening to stories about you.”

They had only been in this place for less than two years. They hadn’t become callous enough to kill an innocent child. However, she was sure to take her revenge long after today.

She did not even like her lost child. But her heart breaks for it.

Atlas then carried both women, as he was much faster than they were, even with two people’s weights.

This was especially true with his equipment and his elemental skills. Sasha sat on one arm, while Sandra was carried like a sack on the other, just barely carried with relative care for her stomach.

Together, they escaped through a path they created. The guards would wake up soon, so there was no more time to waste.

They fortunately managed to escape using the route they had prepared beforehand, using coats to cover their faces, and making it seem like they were simply refugees running away.

The voice blocker was also active the entire time (the latest voice blockers from Sleuth had increased duration per charge), so no matter how much Sandra screamed, even when she was practically destroying her throat screeching, no one bothered with her.

Crying, Sandra’s eyes met with Sasha’s cold ones. “What are you going to do to me?!”

“If they don’t kill you after you give birth, I will make sure you will suffer for the rest of your life,” she said. “So choose well.”

Atlas didn’t bother with the two women’s arguments. His mind was elsewhere.

Now that Sandra was down, all that was left was Gingo.

If they were unable to imprison him, Atlas really hoped that the bastard would die a meaningless and horrible death somewhere.

…

Gingo and Hesso indeed died horrible deaths.

Back in Flaret Town, their group followed the path Rowan showed them. They were naturally guarded as it could’ve been a trap, but the secrecy of the tunnel indicated that they were heading somewhere important.

Unexpectedly, as they got deeper, a strong stench occupied their room, making them gag involuntarily.

The door outside closed, but not without the explosion of smoke. They didn’t notice it immediately, but when they tried to use force to open the door, they realized that they had been weakened! It was like they were suddenly exhausted, wanting to sleep, but at the same time, they knew this wasn’t the time.

Before they could adjust to anything else, however, they felt the floor underneath them fall down.

“WHAT—”

What they didn’t know was that the place was the location where the hopelessly addicted were thrown in, observed, and experimented on.

The drugs had had various versions, after all, and many of them had…unpalatable effects.

As for whether the creator herself knew these side effects, no one knew, but they existed, and there were scores of people who were captured (though people thought they were either in prison or being treated elsewhere) and thrown right at this place.

It was basically a house with a pit, with a floor that could retract, causing whatever was above it to fall down. It was a fairly simple mechanism since they had Terran construction teams here, too.

Usually, it was the ‘waste’ drug addicts they didn’t want to deal with, but could still be useful. Now, it was used for something entirely different.

The team fell down to this group of people, all smelly, bathed in their own piss and feces. And they were grabbing them for dear life, and their stomachs rolled in disgust.

“AHHHH!”

“GET AWAY!”

Extremely addicted individuals were low-level, no more than level 15, but the room was filled with them. They weren’t killed immediately because they were still useful, and the Lord and the guards would often use them as bait.

These people didn’t have a sense of fear anymore, after all, and they were really the perfect bait. At the same time, because they had nothing to lose, even going against stronger people was not a problem.

They were neglected, though and barely, some of whom ended up resorting to cannibalism.

“AHHHHHH!!!” they screamed, and even when they struggled and injured several, there were many and their sheer number and the compressed space cushioned the force.

Combined with the weakening effects of the mysterious smoke, they could only be scratched and bitten.

Crunch!

Thanks for your support, Alterrans!
