Chapter 1520: Misha’s Hotel Stay (Part 1)
Not too far away, the Berti brother-and-sister naturally had a lot to talk about as well.
They headed the a quiet shop to catch up. Misha held her brother’s arm with a wide smile on her face, while Michael sniffled, looking very unlike his usual cool persona and very much like a young teenager who had found his lost mother.
The two settled into a more private section in the tea shop, telling each other of what they had gone through since they migrated to this place.
After Michael reassured Misha that he barely suffered, he begged his older sister to be honest with him and not to leave details out.
Misha, while she didn’t like to be pitied, wasn’t fond of hiding things either, especially from her only blood relative left.
Misha told everything that happened in Terran, all the way to the latest rescue. She also said how she managed to keep control of her body thanks to her ability as well as Silvia’s soap, which she helped disperse.
“I will reserve a good home for you in my Village,” Michael said. “Regardless of whether you’ll settle there.”
Misha looked at him. “Are you assuming I won’t go with you?”
Michael smiled. “My village feels too small for the likes of my awesome sister.”
Although he didn’t know she was part of the group until he heard it from her himself (he suspected information was withheld from him), he was still part of the meeting. There, they discussed the huge number of points they dedicated to people who were part of this mission.
What Misha would receive was definitely not small. Michael could not, in good conscience, allow her to waste all that just because he felt sentimental.
Misha saw how serious he was and laughed. She had been wondering what to do, to be honest. She really did want to stay with her brother, but she also wanted to explore Alterra a bit more.
“Don’t be so sure. Maybe I’d like to live in a small village for a change.”
Michael smiled. “Well, you can explore Alterra while you think about what you want to do. Just know I’ll support whatever it is.
“A villa in Bright Village is reserved for you, whether or not it’d be your main residence or a vacation home,” he smiled, patting her shoulder. “In the meantime, you can use the hotel room lent to me today. It’s in the famous Grand Hotel.”
“What? What about you?”
He smiled. “Don’t worry, my people reserved a floor at one of the inns, so I have someplace to stay.” This was true. A part of his entourage would always go to Alterra in advance whenever there was a meeting like this, regardless of whether it was him or a representative coming.
“You’ve always loved to spend a day in the spa,” he said, patting his sister’s shoulder. “You deserve all the spa time in the world right now.”
…
Thousands of new people were added to the territory, and this injected more activity everywhere. The markets were completely overflowing, and the main streets had a lot of foot traffic.
Fortunately, Alterra designed its streets with the assumption that it would reach City level in a few decades, and they had limited the density of an area as well, so it wasn’t uncomfortably overcrowded despite this.
There were queues to most of the popular restaurants and other establishments, though, but few people complained—especially not the shop owners.
Some of the newcomers decided to have an early rest, though, and perhaps join the nightlife later on. Many of them were really dead tired.
This included most of the Lords who had gone to their own rooms to relax. Misha, who had taken her brother’s slot, was the same.
She couldn’t help but stare blankly at the luxurious lobby. She was born with a golden spoon and had naturally seen far more luxurious places than this in Terran.
However, in this almost-medieval place, she couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed and imbalanced.
It had only been a few days since they were pulled out of Voumi Town, and it honestly felt like another lifetime had passed.
Not long ago, she was worried when Hesso would finally be able to do the deed, fearing for her own body each time. Although she had experience, that had to be with men she actually liked! The lack of control had always made her feel nervous, even if she never showed it.
Seeing things like this reminded her that she could finally…relax again.
She went up the elevator in a daze and found her clean, lovely, and scented room.
“How nice…” she mumbled, but her knees buckled as soon as she closed the door. She found herself sitting on the carpet, crying in relief.
…
After taking a long, relaxing bath, Misha didn’t go to bed. Instead, she decided to roam around the amenities and enjoy her stay there.
Anyway, she could sleep elsewhere, but she heard getting a reservation in the Grand Hotel was very difficult. She could use the bed later on.
By the elevator, there was a list of amenities side by side with the floors. There were restaurants, gardens, the spa, event halls, and others. There was even a pool, and there was even a shop for swimwear.
She bit her lips in thought, deciding to go for a swim in the end. Her spa schedule was at night, which was just right so she could go to sleep right after she explored the place.
Using the large allowance her brother gave her, she bought a nice two-piece that matched the color of her eyes. Its cut was not as revealing as others, but her great figure cancelled out conservativeness.
Of course, she never looked vulgar. According to the magazines and paparazzi, she was the picture of ‘refined sexiness’. She wondered if she still had it…
She found a mirror to check her appearance. Speaking of which, the mirror, in itself, was quite impressive.
There were only metallic mirrors in the Voumi palace, after all, and those gave a distorted, unclear view of her reflection. She heard that almost everything in Alterra was produced in Alterra, and that was an incredibly impressive feat.
“Is the fit alright?” she mumbled to herself, staring at her reflection.
She had always been confident in her appearance and never shied away from showing her body. However, that was in Terran. In Xeno, she had even scarred herself to have a semblance of control over her own body.
Her love for beauty had always been stifled since she arrived in Xeno, and right now she could finally feel free to express herself in a way she hadn’t in a long time.
When she went to the pool in a bathrobe, there were several people there. Fortunately, everyone was in swim wear and she wasn’t being an exhibitionist by wearing a two-piece swimsuit.
The sky was already reddish at this time and she liked looking up the sky in peace. She always did like seeing the reddish skies, especially when it reflected on water. It was one of the reasons she loved the golden hour.
She found a free recliner and lay down, not taking off her robe for now, though she was still gorgeous and the skin she did show off made for quite a few stares.
A certain blonde included.
