Chapter 1512: White Happiness

Trigger Warning: Drug production and Drug use. Sorry I had to write these topics xD It felt like one of those inevitable things that’d appear sooner than later.

…

____

While the Voumi Town rescue mission was a resounding success. Surprisingly, other surprise missions all over were also happening, and this one might not have much to do with Alterra.

This was happening in Flaret Town, located about 600 kilometers Northwest of Alterra.1

This was the nearest Town north of Alterra, and the main source of the drugs, called ‘White Happiness’.

“This is amazing! Hahahha!!” Peaco, the Lord of Flaret Town, laughed out loud as he looked at the bags of White Happiness being piled up in front of him.

The sacks were stacked up in multiple rows, creating columns as tall as a person. Each bag, in his eyes, was equivalent to at least a hundred gold each!

Ka-ching, ka-ching!!

He turned to the man on his side with bright eyes. “This is more than I anticipated!!” Lord Peaco said, patting the man’s shoulder. “Good job, Felipe!”

The man—middle-aged, tall, and muscular, and he had a bit of body ink in his body—gave a small smile. Physically, he was a little intimidating, but at this time, he seemed quite at home with the Lord.

If Ansel were here, he’d recognize this man as the drug lord neighbor they had!

“It is mostly because of you, Milord, as well as your connections,” the Terran humbly said with a smile. “Our White Happiness wouldn’t have reached so many territories so quickly.”

Peaco nodded in approval, liking his attitude and his lack of arrogance. It showed Peaco that he, Felipe, would be useful for a long, long, time.

Indeed. If he hadn’t exhausted all his connections (which may or may not have involved some pandering—at least at first), then they would’ve been limited to their own town and their subsidiary villages.

Now, they had tapped into the market of the adjacent towns! For one, they were already being used by many nobles in Voumi Town! That place was relatively rich with a lot of subsidiaries! They could get thousands more addicted within the next few months.

At this time, there actually wasn’t enough market for their stock, but he believed it’d drain out very soon, and very quickly! The product was too good!!

He gulped, already looking forward to going home and getting his ‘high’. He didn’t realize he looked a bit manic while he thought of it, and even if he did, he wouldn’t have cared.

Looking at him like this, Felipe smiled. “Milord, I actually have a new product. Would you like to try?”

Peaco brightened, rubbing his hands together.

They headed to the warehouse’s office area, which was Felipe’s design. The furniture and arrangement were actually superior to what the Center had, which was very telling.

Peaco quickly sat down at the table, waiting for his moneymaker to introduce the next new thing.

Felipe confidently took a small sack from his space. Unlike the White Happiness though, it was not in powder form.

“Liquid?” He mumbled, fascinated.

It was a light red colour, a rare, unnatural color that could only be seen in certain flowers. He couldn’t take his eyes away from it.

He looked at the way it moved. It was slightly viscous and had an interesting effect under lighting. “Fascinating…” he whispered, almost mumbling.

“It’s called Pink Dream,” Felipe said, watching all of his reactions. “It gives more intense feelings and happiness.”

Felipe paused, looking slyly at the Lord. “It also makes nights with your wives even more…enjoyable.”

Peaco was very excited, and he even clapped in childlike fervor. “Oohh~ Let me try, let me try!”

Under his pressure—which wasn’t light considering their level differences—Felipe seemed unaffected.

This was quite impressive. After all, Felipe was less than level 20, but Peaco—even if he looked like that—was actually level 37 already.

Anyway, Felipe nodded calmly and took other things from his space. This made the Lord very curious. “What are these for?” He asked. He had no doubt that it’d be interesting if it came from Felipe.

“This works best by injection, directly to the blood.”

“Oh?” Peaco gasped. “Interesting!!”

He made a makeshift syringe made of wood. The hole was bigger and more painful, but those who used the Pink Dream wouldn’t mind it at all.

First of all, the current physiques would make infection unlikely and, at some point, they’d feel numb and all they’d know was the effect of it.

Besides, people from Towns were much better customers because they wouldn’t become insane.

This was so much better than how it was back when they were in villages.

Those weak bastards ended up being half-insane. He even used the aborigine refugees they received, though he had to kick them out before more people could realize what he had done.

He had really underestimated the forces in this world, accidentally creating products that were much more potent than those in Terran.

Felipe pushed the thought aside and looked at the Lord, who was nearly 20 levels ahead of him.

He watched as the bastard smiled so widely that a drool dropped from the side of his mouth. “I feel…tingly…all over…” he said.

He remembered his first taste of White Happiness, which was even more amazing!!

Felipe patiently stood at the side as the Lord went through various phases of the joy it made. He looked like a deranged idiot, but the more he acted like this, the more Felipe was satisfied with the product.

Peaco had no idea he was being treated like a test subject. His eyes were bright and he patted his partner’s shoulders in glee. “Whoa! You’re a genius!”

Felipe nodded, humble as always. “Thank you for your compliment.”

Anyway, Peaco could personally feel the effects of the new drug and could also feel its potential. He felt even higher at the thought of it.

“Do it! Take whatever you need from the treasury. I want this in the market as soon as possible!!!!”

Felipe smiled a bit and bowed, “As you wish, milord,” he said, and he soon left the hall with a sharp glint in his eyes.

Just a little more… he mused. Just a little more and he’d have that idiot of a Lord completely under his thumb!
