Absolute Cheater - Chapter 516
Capítulo 516: Bionics XIX
The impact launched the Knight straight into a wall, crushing stone and throwing dust everywhere.
“Fast,” Asher muttered.
SQ-L88 twisted its torso back into place and targeted Asher again. Its eyes flashed.
“Intruder speed: acceptable. Durability: unknown. Attempting forced analysis.”
The sentinel dashed again.
Asher blocked the first strike with his forearm. The hit felt like steel pistons slamming into him. His arm stung all the way to the shoulder.
He countered with a punch to the sentinel’s jaw.
The hit connected—
—but it was like punching reinforced metal. The sentinel’s head snapped to the side but showed no damage.
Instead, it grabbed Asher’s wrist immediately and tried to bend his arm the wrong way.
Asher pulled back hard, twisting out of its grip.
The sentinel didn’t chase. It scanned him quickly, light sweeping up and down.
“Bone density increased. Muscle output above natural limits. Conclusion: hybrid lifeform.”
“Conclusion?” Asher raised a brow. “You’re talking way too much.”
He rushed in this time.
He threw a solid straight punch. SQ-L88 blocked with its forearm, the impact cracking the floor under its feet. Asher followed up with a kick, aiming for its knee joint.
The sentinel lifted its leg, avoiding the strike by a hair.
Then its other arm unfolded into a long, whip-like metal cable and lashed at Asher.
The cable wrapped around his torso before he could dodge.
SQ-L88 yanked.
Asher was dragged forward like he weighed nothing.
The sentinel’s knee slammed into his stomach.
Air exploded out of his lungs, and he flew backwards, skidding across the floor before he caught himself.
The Knight rejoined the fight, charging with its sword raised.
SQ-L88 didn’t even look at it.
It spun once, its cable-like arm extending and smashing into the Knight’s chest. The blow sent the armored reaper crashing into a pillar, breaking it in half.
Asher wiped a line of blood from the corner of his mouth.
“Okay,” he said, tightening his stance. “This thing hits hard.”
The sentinel crouched low, its joints humming with energy.
“Adjusting combat protocol,” it said calmly.
“Lethal force authorized.”
Its entire body brightened with cobalt light.
Asher exhaled, aura rising.
The Knight stood back up beside him, sword leveled.
“Alright,” Asher muttered. “Round four… really starts now.”
SQ-L88 moved first.
It shot forward like a bullet, the floor cracking under the force. Asher barely had time to react before a sharp, triple-jointed strike came straight for his throat.
He blocked with both arms. The impact pushed him back several meters, boots scraping hard across the stone.
The sentinel did not stop.
It jumped in again and spun mid-air, bringing its heel down like a hammer aimed at Asher’s head.
Asher shifted aside, the kick smashing into the ground and leaving a deep crater.
The Knight rushed in from the side, sword cutting down at the sentinel’s arm.
SQ-L88’s body bent unnaturally again—its spine bending almost sideways to avoid the blade. It countered instantly, thrusting an elbow backward into the Knight’s chest.
The hit sent the Knight sliding across the floor once more.
Asher came back in, throwing a heavy punch to the sentinel’s ribs.
This time, SQ-L88 caught his fist.
It squeezed hard. Metal fingers dug into his skin.
“Grip strength measurement in progress,” it said coldly.
Asher gritted his teeth and yanked his arm free, twisting away from the crushing grip.
The sentinel immediately followed with a series of lightning-fast stabs from its segmented arm. Asher dodged the first two, but the third grazed his shoulder, cutting through his shirt and slicing skin.
He winced but didn’t slow down.
He stepped in and kicked the sentinel’s leg.
SQ-L88 absorbed the hit without flinching. Its cobalt veins pulsed once.
Then the sentinel slammed both hands into Asher’s chest like a pair of pistons.
The impact launched Asher backward. He hit the ground, rolled twice, and got back on his feet, breath shaking from the blow.
“Yeah,” Asher muttered. “Definitely the toughest one.”
The Knight staggered up beside him again.
SQ-L88 scanned them both at once.
“Threat level recalculated,” it said.
“Both targets require simultaneous elimination.”
Its arms reconfigured—one turning into a long blade, the other into a thick, reinforced shield. Its legs shifted too, claws anchoring into the floor for more stability.
Asher narrowed his eyes.
“So it changes its body for every fight.”
The sentinel launched itself at both of them.
It reached the Knight first.
The blade-arm slashed downward. The Knight blocked, but the force pushed it to its knees. The sentinel pressed harder, trying to break through the guard.
Asher ran in and punched the sentinel across the face with a full-strength blow.
It finally staggered.
Asher didn’t stop—he struck the sentinel in the ribs, then the jaw, then the shoulder in a fast combo, trying to break its balance.
But SQ-L88 adapted instantly.
It braced its shield-arm and blocked Asher’s punches. Then, with a fast twist, it grabbed Asher by the neck and threw him over its shoulder.
Asher hit the ground hard, dust flying around him.
SQ-L88 stepped forward, blade raised to stab him—
—but the Knight hit it from behind, slashing at the sentinel’s back-joints.
The attack didn’t cut deep, but it forced SQ-L88 to turn around and defend.
Asher quickly rolled to his feet and got beside the Knight again.
Both of them stared at the sentinel as it reset its stance, blades shifting, joints humming with energy.
Its eyes glowed brighter.
“Combat assessment updated,” it said.
“You require extreme-level force to neutralize.”
Asher cracked his knuckles.
“Then try to survive it.”
The Knight raised its sword beside him.
SQ-L88’s body pulsed with light again.
And all three charged at the same time.
All three clashed in the center of the chamber.
SQ-L88 reached them first. It swung its blade-arm straight at Asher’s head. Asher ducked under it and punched the sentinel in the stomach, but the metal barely dented. The impact only pushed the sentinel back a step.
The Knight came in from the side and slashed at the sentinel’s legs.
SQ-L88 reacted instantly.
Its shield-arm dropped low and blocked the Knight’s blade. At the same time, its blade-arm swung sideways at Asher.
Asher blocked with both arms, but the hit still threw him off balance.
